The card “One-Step Regrouping to Add”: Why does this card appear twice in the pack of 7 cards? The software asks us to place the One-Step card once in the Efficient pile and once in the Transparent pile. Why is that? Compared with Two-Step Regouping, One-Step Regrouping is arguably a more efficient strategy but less transparent.

Suggest that in the video clip, for the Set B of harder Variations: in the 3rd & 4th problems with missing addends, the missing addends (2 & 4) should be represented by a single underline. Double underlines may present an un-needed distraction.

Excerpt: Note that the story also assumes some background knowledge of counting and subitizing; when the snake came upon the second group of mice, how did he know there were four of them without counting one, two, three, four before counting four, five, six, seven?
