Frequently Asked Questions

If you have already created a username and password for the online course, you do NOT need to make an account. The same username and password you use for the course can be used to log in to the Community.

If you do not have a username and password for the course, you can register an account for the community. To do so, click on the registration tab and complete the form as shown below.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR LOGIN NAME MUST BE all small-cap.

Once the form is complete accept the Privacy Policy and click on the “Complete Registration! Login” button. That’s it. You now have an account.

The Math Minds Online Course and Community are free. You will not be changed for participating.

Anyone can create an account. Even if you would not like to participate in the online course, you can still create an account and be part of the community.

To see what members are up to, click on the members newsfeed icon on the left anchored menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

To make a post click on “activity” once you are logged in. You can come to this page by clicking “Home” on the top menu. Alternatively, you can click on the “ACTIVITY” icon on the anchored menu on the left side of your screen.

Once on your Activity page, look for the blank post where it says “What’s now, [loging]”. Write your post there and then click on the “post” button.

To make a post (public or private) click on “activity” once you are logged in. You can come to this page by clicking “Home” on the top menu. Alternatively, you can click on the “ACTIVITY” icon on the anchored menu on the left side of your screen.

Once on your Activity page, look for the blank post where it says “What’s now, [loging name]”. Write your post there. Next click on “Public” button on the bottom of the post. Select the post type (Public, Only Me, My Friends, Members) and then click on the “post” button.

Next, select the file type you would like to upload. File type you can upload include: JPG, PGN, GIF, PDF, DOCX, MP4, MOV, MP3, and WAV. Once you’ve uploaded you file, remember to click on post.

To join a group click on the “GROUPS” icon on the left anchored menu.

Once on the Groups page, click on the “Request Membership” to join a group. The moderator of that group will review your request and respond.
