I’ve really enjoyed the break down of the 5 principles and how they’ve use the y=mx+b examples to show the connections. The part about math requiring the 2 key dynamics of Noticing and Associating in combination with teach with orienting and juxtaposing made me think about how I have approached teaching certain math concepts in grade 3 and 4 – I always felt that I was focusing on the noticing but I can see now that I have a lot to still learn and go deeper with. Very eye opening.
