The five Math Minds Principles resonate with my current views about both teaching and learning mathematics by reinforcing the idea of timing and separating concepts into meaningful relationships to be taught at an appropriate pace .These principles challenge my current views by introducing new ways to approach planning and teaching concepts – there are ways that concepts can be slowed down and taught at a more appropriate pace that I have not considered before.
