I like everything involved in the Psyche-Focused Discourses section, which covers quite a large area on the map. I think the Psyche-Focused Discourses are crucial as it covers some important aspects of learning: self (well-being, mindfulness, identity and personal agency) and group (collaborative). I think developing your self-identity and having a sense of self in school is important as it builds character, builds confidence and can encourage students to take risks in learning and development.

I also love collaboration; this is a big part of how I learn. You are able to come together in a group, bounce ideas off one another, and explain your method of thinking. I also love collaboration from a teacher’s standpoint, as I believe it has a great positive impact on student learning overall.

Overall, my values, practices and beliefs resonate in the middle of the map.
