The Math Minds principles opened my eyes, as I always believed that I wasn’t strong in math and not a “math person”. I realize now that maybe the information taught to me wasn’t taught effectively or in my learning style. I found Principle 3’s “working memory” specifically resonated with me and brought me back to my math days because I always felt it was too much at once and not enough discussion and practice. Reading this concept now, it all made sense. In my personal experience, I feel material, especially math, was not parsed, paced or practiced well. It ultimately made me, as the learner, lose confidence and label myself “not a math person”.

So far, I’ve really appreciated the review of concepts I remember learning in high school. It makes me feel like doing this as a refresh will make me feel more of a math person now.
