I’ve become aware of cognitive overload as a result of this first unit of Math Minds. Understanding the importance of students applying new information shortly thereafter introducing a new concept is critical. The course thus far has taught me more about evidence related to brain plasticity reminding me that the human mind when thinking about mathematical engagement should be seen to be more like an ecosystem whereby you have creatures constantly contributing, growing and redefining space and structure.
