I recently taught long division and attempted to use the rapid model and jump math slides to teach it. It was interesting experiencing it from the student perspective and I can see that I ended up blocking the lesson despite my best intentions as I did not stop frequently enough to allow critical discernments as the modeled slides did. It made the connections way easier to make.
