Some of the five math minds principles already resonated with me but some of them were new concepts and ideas that I am excited to integrate into my teaching of mathematics. I recognize the importance of understanding students’ limited working memory but I also see how we can use the other math minds principles to combat the limitations of the working memory. The math minds principles give teachers a good framework for optimizing students potential in mathematics.
