In what ways do the five Math Minds principles resonate with your current views about teaching and learning mathematics? In ways do they challenge your current views? In what ways do they prompt you to think about things you may not have considered before?

In regards to Principle #2, it resonates with my current views about teaching and learning mathematics because essentially it means that we can all become experts in math. Growing up, I always thought that I was weak in math and that I would never succeed in math. However, over time and with this Principle, I believe that the ways in which math was taught to me negatively impacted how I processed the information. This Principle inspires me to become an excellent math teacher that takes time with students and tries different strategies to solve equations.
